No, the hamster isn't playing piano (she's no Nora), but that's not her fault.  It's really just a size issue.  Rather, her talent is being so engrossed in eating a popcorn kernel she doesn't notice anything going on around her.  She doesn't even flinch as they move her around, flip her on her head, and play what must me an incredibly loud noise right near her ear.  All she cares about is her popcorn.  I can only hope someday I find something as engrossing and wonderful.

I wasn't expecting the U.S. Geological Survey to post something adorable, but color me surprised.  The good stuff starts at about 1:56 and despite the terrible quality, it's such good footage it could almost be a man in a bear costume.

One of my all time favorite things is cute animals slipping on hard wood floors.  This is a small example, but one that's hard to resist.  White Bunny does it at the beginning, grey bunny waits until 17 seconds in.

Videos of cats fighting printers is a genre of its own on YouTube, much like yawning lions or giggling babies.  Today Digg declared a clear winner, although I think they're off the mark by a little.  But I'm going to let you decide.  First I'll give you the unedited video, which isn't oriented properly, and then you'll be able to see the Digg approved redux, with all its Sci-Fi sound effected glory. Okay, so most of these are for Megan.  Every time I post another one (or if she's working on a post) I can hear each video being played in order.  Several times each week I hear the tell tale opening notes of the Nora the Cat video.

Megan likes all manner of cute animals, but I know she's got an especially soft spot for golden retrievers.  With that in mind, here are two puppies (and a zillion other dogs) learning about the physics of leverage.

I'm posting this video for a couple of reasons.  First, because it's from Reno, NV, my home town, and second because of the part where two of the puppies decide that they're not at all interested in the finish line and they turn around. -Alex
